UCSI Music Audition

today, 22nd of april was my audition in UCSI.

i arrived at 7.15 am. early lerrrrrr.... sat at the entrance and plug my ipod into ears, listening to my Chopin's scherzo ( one of my audition piece) and stare at the students who walk into Sedaya.
i got culture shock!!!!! everyone who walks in wear t shirt and jeans. it's like..so standardized!!!my gosh.... in taylors.. there're sooo many fanciful wears... now, i know why ppl say, Taylors, Sunway are all fashion-walk places... now, i can accept that statement. it's true. i cant find anyone in minis or dresses or spagetthi tops or tube tops....all sensible t shirt and jeans..... EVEN MY DAD NOTICED THAT TOO...

then..at 8.15am, me and my dad went to the music area. hoping it'll be open. lucky!!!! it's open d... we went and meet the receptionist. she gave me a choice, to go eat sth or to play and wait in the audition room. since i'm full ( ate bread and 2 eggs in the morning), i went into the audition room and started playing my pieces. My dad explored the room.

there's a grand piano and an upright piano side by side. both Yamaha. i tried the grand piano first. it's soooo oily and sticky. the more i play, the stickier it become. me and my dad ended up wiping the keyboard. ewwwwww.... then, i tried the upright, it's sooo much better.

at 9am, i went in for my theory test. o gosh..as usual, i sux in theory....i did until my head crack. i din even study bout theory the past few weeks. thinking of it makes me sick. die means die laa...i'm not very keen to study in Sedaya also...

around..dunno wat time also.. maybe..40 mins later, i started my practical. i first asked them...


Eli : can i play on the upright instead of grand piano?

Judge : why?? ppl usually prefer the grand piano..but it's up to u..

Eli : ( before i can cheat him by saying i like upright more than grand piano) my dad said...

Dad : ( my dad straight told the truth ) cuz the grand piano's key board is sooo oily and sticky.

Eli : i stared at my dad ( how can he tell the truth !??!?!??!?! )

Dad : we even wiped it just now. but, it's still sticky

haihh..so funny lorrr...havent even start studying already comment ppl's piano sticky laa..not good laa..bla bla..hahhahaha


1. Bach's prelude and fugue no.2 : it was a bit shaky. my left and right hand din coordinate that well..shit....

2. Chopin's scherzo no.2 : ahh..this is way better... i'm satisfied wiht my playing in this piece. it's 10 mins long..after.. maybe 7 mins, they ask me to stop. can move to the next song. hahahhahahhahaa....i'm so darn glad cuz i always screw up at the end..

3. Debussy's Clair d Lune : normal lor....satisfied..i think i played better than wat i usually play at home...

my scales sux too... forgotten those..3rd aparts and 6th aparts....duh..dun care

aural lagi syok!!!!! so fun!!!!! hahahhaahhaahahahha...

overall, i'm quite satisfied.. i cant wait to start studying laa..so bored at home... everyday practice violin 24 hrs only...noting else....

study music will be sooo fun.. ( i guess)
it's sth i like..so..i think..i wont feel that i'm studying after all...
1. i've been waiting and waiting to study music history and piano pedagogy and stuffs like tat..
2. i love playing on my instrument..playing it 24 hrs a day is no prob at all...
3. although i dread analysing music and music theory..but.. it's better than calculus
4. i cant wait to be with music all day long, without worrying about my unfinished mathematics or physics

WOW!!!! finally!!! i'm off from all those formulas and theories..photons and neutrons...calculus and trigo... i'm freed!!!! yipee.. hahhahaa..

i cant stand my room!! especially my study table.. it's soooo freaking messy.. and i dunno how to clean it ... :( i seriously need some help to clean my table and tidy it up.. I CANT STAND IT ANYMORE!!!!!!

guys..i'm getting thinner and thinner. dun ask me why... i hope to get fat but it went the opposite.. wat is wrong with me??

i tried and i did make an effort to exercise. REALLY!!!! i do some cycling almost everyday if it's not raining.... see...i do exercise!!!!!

hmm..let's see wat i've been doing...
1. the last time i exercised was yesterday.. cycled to chris house.. see..exercise also wat...
2. the heaviest thing i've ever carried was my violin in it's case. super heavy. my hand can break lor..
3. the heaviest meal i had was last nite. i ate like a bear.. surprisingly. i ate one big plate of rice!!!
4. the most energy-consuming activity i did was... dunno... cycling. ya... i always become a jelly after cycling...
5. the most tiring thing i've done to my hand is writing.. jus wrote a long essay for scholarship..copied it onto the paper....

maybe i shud change my lifestlye... to make myself stronger and fatter be4 i step into Uni...

i'm officially 19 !!!!

12th April .. Elizabeth the Great step into the Earth 19 years ago... i'm officially 19 !!! can u believe it??? i'm so old adi..... next year 20!!!! my gosh! no more a kiddie... *sobs*.

i celebrated my bday with my 2 best best best best bes frens on the Earth. Angelina and Christopher on Friday night. Angelina suggested Laundry or TGI. i wanted somewhere more cosy, non-smoking and more quiet where i can talk and laugh loudly.. so, we went to TGI..

we started off with photo taking session.. well.. me and anglina cant live wiithout taking pics...

i went to violin class and mass as usual. then... Youth actually planned to have steamboat but... haihhh.... we failed.. very few ppl turned up.. so, we postponed it...
so, i had dinner with my family . we had Japanese food..

my dear friends.. 22nd of april is my audition in UCSI. i hope i wont freak out... i wish i can play perfectly well.. but... can i??? :(

for those who are still blur.. ya... i'm not going Australia or New Zealand or Taiwan... i'll be staying in Malaysia, studying in UCSI...sedaya university college..

i've changed my course of study.. not change actually.. the correct word would be..i've made my decision.. i've chose music.. i've thought about it... i cant live without it, esp my violin. i love it too much... i love my violin.....................

so.. since i've chosen music, i hv nowhere to study. either Taiwan, Singapore or Malaysia. I'm still waiting for NUS's Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music's reply. if i'm qualified for it, i'll go there and stop my studies in Sedaya. As for Taiwan... i prefer Malaysia over taiwan. it's all in mandarin...i can die studying there.. i rather stay in Malaysia..

on 5th of april, we, S6 had a class gathering again. this time, in Itallienies. or watever it's spelled. hahahaha... we had to wait outside the restaurant cuz it was full inside and we had such a great number... so.. the crazy me , meng jin and yi qian took pics non stop!!!! lucky justea brought his camera. i forgot to bring mine!!!!!! wat a day...
